My doctor prescribed me birth control pills to regulate my period but the instructions on the pack say to take it when my next period starts. Problem is – I have no idea when that will be! Anyone have any idea when is the best day to start taking it? Can I just start now? Thanks a lot.

Why are cells able to accomplish a decrease in entropy without violating the laws of thermodynamics?
Why are cells able to accomplish a decrease in entropy without violating the laws of thermodynamics (specifically the 2nd law)? Can they do this for ever? Why or why not?
Why’d the Republican Party allow a bunch of neocons to hijack it during the Bush administration?
These guys weren’t "conservatives" at all, in the traditional sense. They only had one main issue: protect Israel’s security at all costs. That’s why they wanted war with Iraq so badly, and why postwar planning was totally irrelevant to them.
What’s up with that? Why did the old-guard Reagan Republicans allow this band of freaks to hijack the party and basically ram it into a wall through raw incompetence?
Or, for that matter, why is it important for ANY supporter of similar propositions in various states to keep same sex couples from marrying?
Why does marriage NEED to exclude same-sex couples? Why does it NEED to remain between opposite-sex couples?
People are always saying on here that God needs to test our strength so we can be tougher, but why? Why do some people suffer unimaginable horrors and others do not. What is the purpose of making us stronger all the time, stronger for what exactly?
My kids want to have a small garden this year. Partial food and partial plants. They want pumpkins, corn, carrots and sunflowers. When is a good time to start planting that garden? I was thinking of planting the seeds in cups inside earlier on and then transplanting them outside when the weather gets better. When should I start planting in cups inside? Thanks!
The questions I am about to ask I am sure have been answered ad-nauseum, but there seems to be such an over-saturation of information and opinions that I would rather ask flat-out.
First some background: I graduated last May from the University of Kentucky with a double-major BA in Economics and Finance (3.67 GPA). Since my interest in law was late blooming, I decided to get some experience, so I am now working for 2 years in a big firm in downtown Chicago as a project assistant. My questions are as follows:
1) When should I take the LSAT if I am planning on going to Law School in the fall of 2009? When should I begin preparing?
2) Are LSAT prep classes worth the cost? Which is the best in Chicago?
3) What score should I aim for given my GPA if I am interested in Northwestern, University of Chicago, and UI? Are these even possibilities?
4) Will my experience working in a large firm give me an edge in the application process? When should I start to apply?
Thanks!
For former marines, when can you say things started to get real for you ? Was during, before, or after boot camp ? When do they start making you fill out all the paper work and do they make you work out after filling it all out ? Just curious of the opinions of others when it started feeling serious ?
Do you go through the whole process of paper work, and working out when you enlist ?
Why in most houses and buildings walls are painted white to greyish white? Why not paint walls more of a relaxing colors like green and blue? Why is white so standard when it comes to buildings? White feels lonely in a room and could be eye-stressing.
I am quite new to comics, and the only knowledge of Superman I have is from watching Smallville (technically not Superman yet). So where should I start? Preferably a point in the Superman universe where you only need minimal knowledge of any past events.
Thanks in advance.
