Am I the only person in the world who thinks Mariah Carey sucks?
So what if she has a good voice, she uses it to make generic boring music. She’s no more a good musician than a smart but super-lazy kid is an honors student.
Plus, the record companies plug her because she’s literally in bed with them. After all, she did marry Tommy Mottola. and she’s old enough to be my mom, but acts 16.

Nope. I can’t stand her, and I don’t think she’s nearly as talented as she thinks or she is given credit for. Annie Lennox, Pat Benatar, Sinead O’Connor are far more talented than she will ever be. And she is so full of herself, I just want to smack her.

She has a good voice. She doesn’t suck but most of her singing styles are the same and her voice gives me a headache sometimes when she hits the high notes. But she is very melodic that’s why she is so famous and rich. Don’t hate. And I don’t know about her sleeping around with people. She seems like she has respect for herself and others and she seems like a sweet person. I wouldn’t say those mean things about her.

Mariah Carey is one of the best artists out there. Apparently to you, a smart but super lazy kid in honors can hit every octave on a piano?? Mariah Carey doesnt suck, and her music isnt the least bit boring in my opinion. Maybe you should try listening to more of her music, then you would know what a great voice she’s got!

I actually do like her music but her personality annoys me because she’s so full of herself.
I remember listening to a few of her songs in the 90’s i think, but i agree, she has a great voice technically speaking but she hasn’t made any music i’ve wanted to listen to in at least 12 years. And what’s up with marrying that little kid Nick…what an odd couple.

She’s wasted what once WAS a great voice w/ a phenomenal range. She’s gotten so bad that her voice is completely altered w/ Auto-Tune. Her videos are all about how much of her makeup enhanced cleavage she can show.

she has to make music that has the best chance to have mass appeal, as do all big time artists because the music industry is dead thanks to downloading the only people who buy music en masse are preteen girls hence miley cyrus, justin bieber, etc.
