The World Of Warcraft

hi i was just wondering how to put addons on world of warcraft using a mac such a X-pearl?

What features will I be able to enjoy without the wrath of the lich king disk? Can I enter the new instances and wear new armor?

I have always been a console gamer, but World of Warcraft is the new thing for me. I was wondering if it is better/easier to use a 360 controller or if it will just be a ball of Horrible Control Layout aggravation.
