How do I know which patches to download for WarCraft?

I didn’t know I need the burning crusades and original wow im going to buy those later today, but right now the Lich king finished installing and a
"blizzard downloader" is updating something I don’t know if those are the patches or what. It says "warcraft 3.0.1 to 3.0.2 win update.

cause ont he website it has like 10 patches and im confused.

    once you get all 3 there should only be 2 patches that you have to get in order to be up to date.

    there have been at least 10 patches over the last 4 years to update the game, but when you get each xpac it already has those installed for up to the time it was released. there were 2 patches that came after the release of WoLK

    You need every patch, the downloader is smart. It will get you what you need.
