Serial Killers

What do you think is going on in society today that is causing people to fly off and kill?

While I know that we have an angry society for various reason’s, what do you think is missing for the individuals in the last 2 weeks (there’s been mass murdering) that has caused them to go over the top?

Also, do you think that our right to bear arms will be affected by this? Do you think that taking away our rights to bear arms will cut back the number of murders?
EXCELLENT answer Bob W. You are SO right! Wake up America!!

Does the USA fit the USA's own definition of a terrorist state?

Good for the goose, good for the gander?
USA supports torture, arrests without charges,
murders without punishment, unilateral action to
obtain unstated goals. A military government led by a buffoon "decider" without limit on his powers to order mass murder in Iraq or anywhere in the world. By the unstated
terms of his fabricated and mismanaged "war on terror", Bush is King of the World. It is an obvious and doomed western attempt to hijack economic and commodity (oil) power indefinitely.

Will you really go to hell for murder?

I’m sure I’ve killed thousands of ants on purpose in my lifetime, that in human terms would be mass murder, genocide by some. So, if all creatures are living, and God created all these creatures, isn’t killing thousands of ants the same thing as killing thousands of humans? Keep in mind these murders were not for survival, but rather just, I wanted them out of my house. And so if you think it’s irrational to go to hell for killing those ants, why is it rational to go to hell for killing humans? Even thousands of humans. Sure you could bring up the arguement, the universe was made for us, and so if you kill another of the "most supreme creation by God, you should go to hell. But was it really made for us? Out of the 200 billion + galaxies in the universe, there is an almost 100% chance that there will be another race equal to or smarter than us, that are not human. Why should we be so egotistic that we think the universe was made selectively for us?

If arsonists are to recieve life imprisonment for murder intent?

Then considering a bushfire is an act of murder, how come people are rejecting the fact most murders have motives behind them?

When i think of motives behind starting a bushfire, I think about who gains the most out of it in the end? Does anyone know what happens to peoples land once their property’s are burned down? Do they sell and those who buy it off them, are they major developers?

Say big development companies buy masses of bush burnt land in the end, then how come they are not considered as possible suspects?
I would just like to add another Yahoo Answer person MuddlePuddle stated that in Greece it was proven developers started the fires in order to get the land.

So how can it not also be a possiblity the same thing is happening here? Just do your research after all this has happened and see who is buying up all that land being sold.
ES: That is another intersting concept I had not thought of. I guess however I was just thinking, there has to be other suspects than the usual stereotyped ‘delinquents’, and what happened in Greece a few years back with their fires was actually proven to be done by developers who wanted the land

What is it that drives a murderer to murder?

Are people born as murderers? Or does society shape them into becoming cold blooded killers? Do murders plan out their victims or are they mostly raandom acts of violence? In most cases was there a way to avoid their acts of violence? What various psychological factors may lead a person to kill? Are there obvious signs of a mass murderer even before they have acted? Do they deserve the death penalty or life in prison?

Doesn’t the mass murder at Virginia Tech today show that we are in no way “safe from terrorists?’

To several of you respondents…if a man that murders 31 innocent students isn’t a "terrorist" then I need a very clear explanation of what a "terrorist" is. So, "terrorists" aren’t "Psychos?" "Terrorists" aren’t "mentally disturbed?"
I just realized that this "Asian" person could be Middle Eastern. Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southwest_Asia.

Do you remember this unsolved mass murder back in 1983?

It was one of the worst in Texas History.

I’m looking for a black comedy about a cleaning girl and serial killer set in Miami?

This is a black comedy about a girl who goes to work for a company that cleans up crime scenes after murders. She becomes infatuated with a serial killer from his "handy work", and eventually begins stalking him. This film is from the late 90’s or early 00’s. Can anyone give me a clue or a title please?

Americans getting away with mass murder?

The Haditha killings (also called the Haditha incident or the Haditha massacre) refers to the incident where 24 Iraqis were killed on November 19, 2005 in Haditha Iraq, and now the blackwater agents who killed 10-20 iraqis including a woman andher child. if Americans will not prosecute these mass murderes in their own courts, what can be done to bring these murders to justice?

When Jim Jones planned his mass murder in Jonestown, why did he post the Santayana quote in the pavilion?

Jim Jones clearly planned his mass killing for years in advance. He gathered together the people. He abused them physically, sexually and mentally. He isolated them in South America. He rehearsed a mass poisoning over and over again. On more than one occassion he served his congregation wine, and then announced it was laced with poison. Then he went on preaching while they waited to die. When they didn’t die, he told them it was a "loyalty test." Given all that, and the facts that he organized a group of armed guards to prevent the people from running helter skelter into the jungle, and that he organized (clearly in advance) the ambush of congressman Ryan and his entourage, given all this careful pre-planning, why did he post a large sign at the center of the pavilion where the murders took place, directly over his "throne" that read: "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it?" (This quote is from the Spanish/American writer George Santayana.)
