Serial Killers

I mean besides praying and flying your flags at half-mast after a bunch of kids have been shot to death and maimed, I don’t see you people (who don’t allow email contact BTW) offer any ideas what to do about the growing cult of school-yard mass murder.
I mean here are young people conveniently packed into schoolrooms easier than shootin’; fish in a barrel and plenty of people are willing and able to get guns and do it.
So whatya say, besides getting out your bible and waving your flag what would you do about it?

Wow, that kid in Germany was insane! It used to be that this sort of thing would happen twice a year, if that!

Now it’s happening on consecutive days, with over 10 victims at a time!

What’s going on?

Maybe these Republicans are right! If it keeps up, we might have to give everyone guns! How do you know if the people you know are about to snap?

Why is there more mass murdering and torture to other humans and other animals in the human world than in the animal world?

Is it because of technology, weaponry, and the way we are born as species(we are born with a superior cognitive mind, 2 hands) that causes most mass murders?

Since the beginning of human history, we have always tried to develop new ways of thinking and better ways of doing things. We have developed guns, bombs, knives, communication systems to help us fight in wars, and help us communicate better. Do you think that this is the cause of most mass murders and animal cruelty?

If we didn’t have computers, telephones, bombs, tools, guns, radio, technology, and the only thing we had in this world was our strength and muscle mass, would there be far less murder and rape in the world?

I lived in Japan were there strict gun laws and way less violence. I have also been in S. W. asia where there are many guns, and high rate of violence and murder. Then every time some whack in the US commits mass murder, the NRA comes out and defends the right own guns!

These tragic mass murders we have had in the past 10-15 years have come despite more gun control, background checks, etc. They happen in England and other countries too which totally ban guns. So I don’t think guns are the main problem here.

Fifty or 100 years ago you could buy a gun with no questions asked but there were fewer mass murders like we have today.

So what in our society or culture is precipitating the increase in mass murders? I am asking about incidents like Columbine and VT, not domestic violence or violent crime (I think that might be another issue).

Guns don’t exist in gun free zones !
To enlighten the ignorant, a gun free zone is a campus that has zero gun tolerance, or a city that bans weapons.

Yeah, yeah , I can just hear the gun nuts going at this one… but then, many people don’t have common sense………..
People- wake UP! No can get gun, no can go on shooting spree. Yes lots of guns out there! So let’s get started and clean the arsenal up, and cut the chances of another mass killing, JUST like England and Australia have done.

Are we as Americans so well-adjusted to hearing about these mass murders that we overlook the death toll of innocent people, and try to rationalize the killings by assigning some type of reasoning to them?

For example, some say, "the Fort Hood killer was a Muslim terrorist!"

Why can’t he just be some crazy guy who snapped, and we all mourn the victims?

Why are some so quick to blame is hreligion, or his *supposed* motivation (when in reality, we don’t know either)?

How did this shooting turn into a political and/or religious debate?

Aren’t we losing focus here?
