I’m reading the Torah and I just got to Exodus. I believe it is the same in the Bible. My question is why doesn’t God just make the Pharaoh be nice and let the Israelites go? Instead he ‘makes’ him stubborn even when all kinds of people die? How can religious people claim to be peaceful and right when the leader (God) kills people left and right? Moses just sits back and lets God a$$ rape the Egyptians, I understand they weren’t on friendly terms but why didn’t he just take the Israelites and split if God was going to make Pharaoh follow him anyways? God wanted everybody to know he existed by mass murder instead of, you know, kindness. He could have just gave them health, money, and happiness… but noooo he has to kill somebody in every house. WTF? How can people still believe in such barbarous things?

1) Religious people explain your God’s actions to me.
2) Atheists explain to me why they believe this ignorant savagery.
Pharaoh didn’t commit a crime to God. God forgot about the pact he made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. That’s why it says in Exodus 2.24: "God heard their moaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob."

In order to REMEMBER something you have to FORGET it first!
Based on the logic of: "He made us, so he could do whatever he wants to us."
So if my kids aren’t getting along, I could just kill one of them because I created them right?

Atheists – How do you explain that the biggest mass murders were caused by the Godless.

The burden of proof is on me, so I’ll present this:

In the 20th century alone, over 50 million people were slaughtered by godless leaders.

Adolph Hitler, Nazi atheist (not a Catholic by any means), murdered six million Jews because of their religion and possibly 3 million more people who were gypsies, minorities, handicapped, and homosexual.

Josef Stalin, Communist, massacred over 20 million people under his dictatorship.

Mao Tse Tung, Chinese atheist, murdered up to 23 million people under his atheism.

Phol Pot , Cambodian, killed over 3 million people under his atheistic regime.

WARS STARTED IN THE NAME OF RELIGION PALE BY COMPARISON.

We’ve had a few mass murders by deranged atheists (Columbine, Oklahoma City, Virginia Tech), and perhaps one by a deranged Christian (Eric Rudolf), but thousands by deranged Muslims (the 9-11 attacks, untold homicide bombings in the Middle East, and now 13 dead and 30 wounded at Fort Hood). The politically correct answer is that these mass killings have nothing to do with religion. Do the relative incidence of Muslim mass murders to atheist and Christian mass murders support the PC consensus?
Those who imagine Christians committing a comparable number of mass murders might want to look at a list of significant terrorist incidents assembled by the US State Department for the period 1961-2003. Or, you might continue in blissful prejudice.

Well i don’t believe that, because mostly all the murders in history had to do with religious influence. And Hitler was not an atheist, he was raised a roman catholic he even referred to the Jews as "Christ" killers. He also believe he was on a mission from god, to rid the world of Jews. And please don’t quote Starlin because i know that’s a favorite. Atheism was not responsible for "Slavery", Religion was! the "Judaism Slave Trade"-"Christian Slave Trade and the "Islamic Slave Trade". Atheism seems to be missing, i wonder why?

So can you name me a few other mass murdering atheists? Charles Manson & The Infamous Family were inspired by "Christian" Beliefs.

Religion tells people in their books to kill non-believers it’s in the bible & qu’ran. There is nothing to rationalize here if there was no silly book called the qu’ran september 11 would not have happened.

1. Hitler was a roman catholic did you not read the details he got back at the jews because of what they did to christ he felt he was doing god a favor to rid the world of jews.

2. Why would christians be trading christians? you wrong "European" Christians & Jew slave masters and "Arab" Muslim slave masters are the reason for over 40-60 million african slaves shipped worldwide that is the reason why there are blacks in brazil, portugal, spain,dominican republic, puerto rico,columbia and there is more where that comes from. I think you need to check on some history. Religion is the cause for all of this mischeif because of what is said in their books.

Religion in your sense is not evil. Religion in my sense is NOT ALL evil. But religion has been the cause for several events during the human decade. Now you talk about morality? is morality when someone who believes in allah flys a plane into 2 buildings? Is believing in jesus christ the reason why you enslave 30 million africans? is that the reason why you should submit yourself to allah or your hand should be cut of without pity? is that the reason why you should kill the man who works on sunday????? What morals come from religion? you make up your own morals? if religion has the right to choose good from bad, that has nothing to do with religion. That is human nature. However humans still have time to use religion and cut off a jewish reporter head, and send the tape in to fox news. But religion is all good? what is there to be confused about?
