Yes I am surprised! I shouldn’t be, I know, considering what they did in WW2. I just keep thinking they’ve gotten a big enlightened.
I could *almost* see them interceding for Pinochet if he were under the death penalty, but this was inexcusable. I’m glad the families of the dead stood up and called them out on it.
