Who is the psychopath who planned the “mission accomplished” stunt?
I doubt that either Bush or Cheney were involved in the planning of that boner. Further, it didn’t seem like Rove’s style either. Just who thought of that idiotic stunt and was involved in pushing it through?
Teekno – if you buy that ridiculous Republican excuse then you should forfeit your citizenship. How can you believe a lie that ridiculous? You are one of the 19% that thinks Bush is doing a good job, aren’t you?

The banner referred to the ship’s mission, which had been accomplished, and they were on their way back to their homeport.
So, you can blame the ship’s commander, if you wish, for putting up a banner that accurately described his crew’s accomplishments.
But if you’re going to slam military people for doing their jobs, can you at least wait a day and not do it on Veteran’s Day? Thanks.
EDIT: No, I am not a fan of Bush. Voted against him twice. But the "mission accomplished" banner thing was explained years ago. Everyone knows what it was about. Catch up.

It sounds like you’re not much of a history buff.
The speech on the carrier was given after we overthrew Saddam and took Baghdad. The mission was accomplished.
And his speech was one of the best I’ve ever heard about Iraq, and it dispels many falsehoods thrown around by Liberals just a few short years later.
Like he had no exit strategy. We would be done in weeks.
"We have difficult work to do in Iraq. We are bringing order to parts of that country that remain dangerous. We are pursuing and finding leaders of the old regime, who will be held to account for their crimes. We have begun the search for hidden chemical and biological weapons, and already know of hundreds of sites that will be investigated. We are helping to rebuild Iraq, where the dictator built palaces for himself, instead of hospitals and schools. And we will stand with the new leaders of Iraq as they establish a government of, by, and for the Iraqi people. The transition from dictatorship to democracy will take time, but it is worth every effort. Our coalition will stay until our work is done. And then we will leave — and we will leave behind a free Iraq."

It wasn’t really anyones fault. The media took a sign and kinda twisted it. The only one that thinks Bush is doing a good job is Bush!

We went to Iraq to oust Saddam. We did it so the mission was accomplished. I don’t know what your beef is but in case you don’t remember, Saddam fell and broke his neck. What more could you want.
