They all looked at the same intelligence report and trust me the Iraqi’s were doing a bang up job killing each other before the US stepped in and tried to aid them with a ruthless dictator who DID use Chemical Weapons on his own people

Gosh, I wish more of you folks had paid attention in school.

It seems to me that Congress should be doing something about being mislead by Bush , Cheney, Powell, Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz.

Bush ’s approach of "it’s my way or the highway" and "you’re either with us or against us" did not allow any debate. The consequence was that Congress had to accept what the Bush Admin said about the risks that Iraq posed.

EDIT: Steven has his facts wrong. There was no UN resolution for war. There were UN weapons inspections in progress when Bush started a war.

The UN agreed with the US threat that Iraq would comply by a certain date of "face dire consequences" – that statement was a declaration or war – failure to follow through would have made us a "paper tiger".

The UN did, in fact, back down when it came down to it, but that is because the UN is a paper tiger –

One would think that, if the current administration "lied" as many keep repeating until they believe it – the overwhelmingly democrat congress would have tried to impeach.

But I speak for those that can hear – I am perfectly aware that there’s just no point in discussing this with some people

EDIT: My facts are correct – resolving that Iraq will "comply or face dire consequences" is a declaration of war – if you can’t see that, then you aren’t looking.
