With safety-critical software, is the office psychopath eventually caught in their own trap ?
The office psychopath believes everything is spin.
One example that comes to mind is a system with special instrumented test equipment.
The special test equipment is gradually being improved and the tests becoming more dynamicized. So the test equipment starts reporting bugs that weren’t noticed.
The office psychopath is unable to respond and fix the bugs. Instead continues to cover up.
So – if your testing is improving, as it will if your test section is allowed to keep working, new bugs may be found. This will flush out the office psychopath, who will be caught out covering up or not responding to the new bugs.
