What is the SQL select that would return the full list of unique foods, i.e.: "Apple, Tuna, Hummus, Orange, Steak, Skittles"?

So I’ve been learning visual basic for quite a while now, and I’m wondering about how much experience or how long I should learn visual basic before moving onto another language ( I was thinking c++ )

I’m currently reading a book on it, and I’m pretty sure I’m going to move onto a next language after I finish the book and try out the things I learn.

Is this a good idea?

Is it possible to connect delphi 7 with a mysql database in the Internet? Say, I want to make a program that holds records of my movies in a mysql database in the Internet. I could connect and display my list with both PHP and Delphi application. Is it possible? [A quick example maybe? Link? Tip?]

I’m trying to teach myself HTML, and usually succeed. Sometimes the stretching is only on Firefox and IE looks fine. Some tags seem to work on Firefox, and not IE.

Im working on an applet in java using jgrasp and i need to make and fill right triangles for what my applet is going to be. How do i do this? I’ve looked through some websites but im fairly new to programming and the info on the pages confuses me.
