Mesothelioma Information

I started pulling up carpet in my 1950’s home with hopes of refinishing the nice oak flooring underneath. After pulling up the carpet and pad, it revealed glue that was used to tack the carpet down. Some of the glue looks black and some of it looks yellowish. I’m not sure if any of it actually was black, or if that could be from years of dust build up. Help!

I had my ceiling tested for asbestos and it came back positive with a 2% content. The lab that did the testing told me the EPA says not to mess with it unless it’s 1% or less. Is the EPA simply being excessively careful or is that extra 1% actually make a difference? I’d remove the ceiling myself with the "do it yourself" technique without any regard for myself, however, I have a wife and 3 children whom I’d rather not foolishly endanger.

The question is essentially, if you live in a house with asbestos is that a guarantee that you will become ill at some point ? Is there a chance that you can stay perfectly healthy

types?, where could i find in within a dwelling?, how to get rid of it? i need to research it for my dissertation.

Hello. I’ve been told my living room walls may have asbestos in them. What is this? I’ve heard you can die from it! I have a crack in my living room wall due to the walls being old but we’re getting that repaired. Is it dangerous for me to be in my house if we have got it? What’s the chances you can die from it? How will I know if my walls have it in future?

the apartment is now in the possession of a court receivership due to forecloser. they have discovered asbestos in the units and are closing the comlpex. I signed a 7 month lease in jan and they gave 30 day notice on mar 1st. what can i do?
