I personally think the War on Drugs has been a total failure and it’s well past time to legalize cannabis and make simple possession a misdemeanor punishable by fine/education. However, I am taking a class and have to defend Regan and his stance on drugs in particular. Any ideas?

In texas, is charge for manufacture of meth, possession of more than 100 grams of meth, and felony in possession of a firearm going to be tried as a federal or state offense? What do you think the sentence will be? There is a prior misdemeanor offense for meth possession in this individual.

I recently found out this guy I knew got busted for selling drugs. I am not a big fan of his so this was good news for me. But I was wondering how much jail time can someone get for that? Here is the exact wording of the police log: "felony charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana and maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of selling drugs." Also there were HUNDREDS of grams of pot between the people who got arrested.

If meth labs are such a huge problem, how many labs have you seen on the local news getting busted? How many people have you read about being charged with meth possession/manufacture?

Isn’t it possible that the media is once again sensationalizing the news – in this case, the fact that the government wants more money to fight the War on Drugs? Likewise, is it possible that the government embellishes facts to scare you into spending more on this War on Drugs?

I worked as a criminal attorney in rural West Virginia (where everyone is supposedly making the stuff) for almost three years, and I did not see ONE charge of meth possession/distribution/manufacture. I worked on several hundred cases, but out of about 10,000 cases that people were charged with, not one of them was meth manufacture or even simple possession!

So, I ask you this: without regurgitating what the media and government want you to believe, do YOU believe there a meth pandemic?

In some states if you are caught with drugs they not only charge you with possession but they also charge you for failing to buy a tax stamp from the state.

Like someone is going to go to the state and ask to buy a tax stamp to put on their cocaine?

This is obviously just a trick to pile on more charges & jail time.

I’m am going up to Vancouver this summer with some friends, and will likely being shopping at cannabis shops. I’m not going to try and smuggle any marijuana back or anything. I was wondering if it’s illegal to be in possession of any drug related paraphernalia like bongs/pipes. Thanks

So i’m going to court on monday and im being charged with possession of lsd and drug paraphernalia. i’m under 18. when i get to court are they going to drug test me? when i get on probation when will be my first drug test? please give me a valid answer because before i got caught i smoked weed and im afraid its going to show up.

Alright my friend went to a supermarket swapped his belt for one on the rack. Had pipe with marijuana residue but no actual marijuana in his possession. On his way out of the store this guy told the other friend with him to leave he went into this room and have heard nothing since. What could happen to me and also if he tells something to the police that may or may not be true for his benefit what could happen to me.
