Marijuana is not an addictive substance, the only addiction that can occur is a mental one(and only happens to around 1/3 to 1/2 of users), the same type of addiction people can have to gambling, sex or even video games. The only real side effect from this may be irritableness for a week or two after quiting but this is usually very minor. Crack is a very different story, it is extremely addictive and users often need help to quit. Check with a reputable online source for more information on cocaine and crack addiction.

Crack is highly addictive; are you sure they are really clean cause the signs of USING include lying about quitting and a lot of excuses. If they are clean they will take responsibility more and show less signs of instant-gratification seeking; using pawn shops and loans, hustling for favours, etc.

Marijuana is habit-forming, quitting it alone will just give them better focus and energy, possibly restlessness at first. Short-term memory can improve, and better, prompter decision making rather than avoidance or delay.

I used to smoke pot and have been clean one year the side effects of marijuana are just increased appetite sleepiness and euphoria. I knew of ppl who used crack and the withdrawal symptoms of it for them were scratching irritability puking but it varies from person to person. If they are using both more than likely they are using the marijuana to help with the pain of coming down from the crack cocaine. Your best bet would be to use a medical database to find out more.

um crack is bad, hmkay It’s withdrawals will be extreme and uncomfortable for many days, maybe even weeks.
Marijuna is bad, hmkay. Now withdrawals from it are consistent with being in a bad mood or feeling the need to do something to avoid being bored.

marijuana is only as habit forming as sugar or picking your nose. There is nothing chemically addictive about marijuana. No long term side effects there.

I have no idea about crack

Detoxification or withdrawal symptoms from cocaine or crack cocaine may include severe depression, fatigue, generalized malaise, vivid and unpleasant dreams, agitation and restless behavior, slowing of activity or increased appetite.

Marijuana withdrawal symptoms most widely reported are cranky-ness and boredom.
