Well…the two ways would be find the lethal dose based on weight, or self-experimentation. I’d suggest the first option. WebMD may have lethal doses of common drugs. Another option would be a pharmacist book if you have access to one, ask your local pharmacist. You can check product dosage instructions on product paperwork. It may be on there. Or you can just use your favorite search engine with "lethal dose acetaminophen." (etc.)

Take 50ml of drug A. If you wake up then try 100ml. Eventually you will find out when you wake up dead. Then try on drug B…………..

Couldn’t you get the equation off your supervisor or teacher? Or don’t you have it in your lecture notes? Ok, hopefully you aren’t planning to make use of the lethal dosage once you’ve worked it out. This website tells you how to calculate:

LD50’s are fine for animal studies, I suppose, but there is no such thing in humans. Unless your last name is Mengele, and your practice at Auschwitz, you won’t do the studies needed. What you can get is case reports and a range of what has been fatal, but there simply aren’t enough drug overdose fatalities to know with more than a handful of drugs.
