only fully mature mj plants have 9 leaves.
when they are very small they have 3 leaves,
then as they get bigger they get 5 leaves, then seven, and once they are fully mature then they have 9 leaves.

this is a link to a mexican sunflower. i couldn’t find any young ones with no flowers. if your plant’s leaves don’t look like this, then it might be a pot plant.

Haha, Mexican sunflowers look nothing like a Cannabis plant. It’s not fully grown yet so that’s why it only has seven leaves. Take good care of it!

marijuana plants all have varing amounts of leaves, it depends on the strain, the maturity of the plant, and climate. marijuana plants are soft and supple. if your plant has a hard and waxy exterior it could be a japanese maple, very similar looking to the marijuana plant in its vegative stages of growth.
