Would it be depression? Anxiety? are there usually other disorders present in an anorexic person?

The main one is low self esteem and this is the basis for anorexia and also a feeling of being out of control hense wanting to controll the one thing that you can, your eating (or not eating ) hsbits.
OCD is nothing to do with this and is seldom conected.

yes, depression and anxiety usually accompany eating disorders (but not always). OCD or OCPD are also commonly found in eating disorder patients
there has definitely been links to depression and OCD(obsessive compulsive disorder)
also many anorexics also suffer bulimia at one point or another – which is also a mental disorder.
im not sure if cutting its a mental disorder but alot of anorexics cut too.

i have anorexia and my underlying issue was anxiety i was so scaried to get fat or be ugly and fat ect that i stop eating and exericise complusively…also deppression is a big one…anxiety disorder ocd hugh part
