Hi. I have been attempting to breed zebra finches for the last 4 months
or so. I had my first babies hatch 12 days ago. The parents abondoned
the two babies so i’ve been forced to handfeed them since they hatched.
I have a few questions that hopefully you can help me with about the
babies.
Question 1- They are 12 days old now and their eyes are not opened yet.
Is this something to be worried about?
Question 2- I have one chick that is smaller and less developed than the
other. This chick has a crop that never seems to empty and the crop
always look like its going to burst, even after 3 hours of not feeding
it(tried it once just for observation purposes) The chick always begs
for food and has no problem eating. I’m worried about the crop though as
it does not seem to be digesting properly. Any ideas on what to do for
the chick?
Question 3- The chick with the crop problem also appears to be
spay-legged. Is there anyway I can fix it?
Their parents are normal. They are several months old. I guess I could do research but this is easier for now.
I am but not to my parents just to my dads brothers adn their families…Im not a bad person just made some bad decisions when I turned 18 according to them.. Never broke the law tho
I want to know because it just came to me.Lol.:) Like, if you get a horse from a shelter and the have no info of the horses family, can you still adopt him/her? Like, when I got my cat the had no info on him except he was abondon that was all. I was wondering if it was the same was with horses.
Thank you so much!
And the parents are regersterd!
does it have something to do with a hybrid animal is born because the parents have the same kind of alleles?
Or what?
Thanks
Parents 10 year Old English Sheep dog will have a seizure if given a bath. It started recently during a stay at a boarding facility. Right at the end, the employees were giving him a bath prior to returning him to my parents. They reported he had a seizure during the bath. It happened a second time with my parents in attendance. Has any body experienced this, and thoughts on how to prevent this?
Because I know that they are just regular Zebra Fish and then their eggs are injected with like, jelly-fish coloring or something? So what happens when they breed, will the fry be normal non colorful zebra fish, or will they look the same as the parents?
My fiance’ and I are taking his 17 month old son to the zoo this weekend. He is going to love it because he will be able to know what’s going on. But my fiance’ thinks that it would be pointless to take our 6 month old baby because he won’t understand anything. I personally think that he will enjoy the zoo for all the noises and atmosphere. For all the parents with this type of experience please share you opinions.
I was wondering if it was okay to breed zebra finches of different generations. For example, if i let a female of the current clutch of eggs of the same parents breed with a male of the next clutch of the same parents?
i live in the sierra nevada mountains, but i would love to own a bird. like a very small parrot (like the little ones in petco, but no necesarilly from petco) or a parakeet. BUT my parents think it would get cold… we have room and everything else… but would it work? i would get it a heater i know that.. is there a place it can go for birdy sitting? i dont expect people that dont live here to know, but any input helps. thank you!
