Me and my mom went to a farming store and we only wanted 2 chickens. They told us we couldn’t buy just two. We had to buy a minimum of 6. Why is that? It wasn’t just this store either. My mom called around and all of them were like that. We were told it was standard procedure?
We still got the 6 because we had the room for it, but is this legal?

My mom is paranoid that the chickens have something, despite being medicated, and if we touch them then touch our parrots, they’ll die.
She makes us wash our hands, sometimes with bleach, before touching the parrots after touching the chickens.

Can I handle my parrots after handling my chickens?

My 16th birthday is in one week from today. and me and my mom are making the cake together. I want one tier to be zebra striped. But neither of us know how. Any ideas?

This might sound completely stupid..but I really am clueless. I have never had to take a child anywhere in my life..lol. I have to take my 5 year old cousin to the zoo tomorrow and i dont want her walking around all day i know she will complain and get tired. I tried asking my mom and my mom got angry. We live out in the highlands most of the summer, and recently the bear population has increased, my mom thinks having a dog around will keep bears away (because of its scent) and as much as i want a dog i think that the dog would be in a lot of danger. Does anyone know if bears or moose will attack a dog often? Or if they are scared of their scent?

My mom has 2 birds and a new cat. The cat naturally goes to the bird cages and attacks them. I want her to keep the kitty cuz its only 5 months old and soo cute and nice and sweet but she likes the birds and the cat and would get rid of hte cat if anything. HELP!

Is it ok to touch it or might it have rabies? My mom says it might like some pickled thornberries. Are these safe? Thank you so much for your help!

I’ve just starting rearing some chickens and I’m curious how the eggs gets fertilise. My mom said that the hen makes a certain clucking noise when she lays an egg. I wonder do the chickens make sounds when fertilising?
Actually I was curious because my chickens make some really funny noises. They sound like they’re all quarelling at once. So I was wondering is chicken have some kind of mating call.
