My husband and I have enough money to buy either 4 goats or 4 sheep. We want to raise them for profit, if we get sheep, it will be selling their wool. If Goats it will be for their milk and we can also make our own goat cheese. Which would be more profitable for us to invest in, goats or sheep? Is there more to sheep than their wool except sending them to the butcher? Thanks for any advice.
Why are there far more wool sheep (in number of individuals and number of breeds) than wool goats? What makes people decided to breed more sheep for wool compared to goats?
We feed our goats and sheep alfalfa and barley oats and molasses feed. Just wandering if it OK to give them the skin and top of a pineapple? Strawberry tops? Apple cores? Orange peels? Is there any fruit or vegetable that is not good for sheep or goats?
Also Roses, Daisys and other flowers from the bundles you buy from the store for special occasions. Are they OK to feed them to the goats and sheep?
Thanks
im trying to expand my milk love throughout the animal kingdom, I think its time we just stop milking cows, goats, monkeys, and lizards and move on to others? is whale milk any good? I have a hunch it would be but im looking for some real experienced information here
I’m referring to the feeding of live cows, goats and chickens to lions and tigers as entertainment to the family crowd, throwing coins at tortoises, etc
My goats are getting de-horned soon and im not sure what they do and im wondering
Everyday when I go out to do chores I find a dead sheep. I have been told that it is because they are only fed hay (4 bales a day) and no grain. I find this hard to believe…
There are 40 sheep altogether. They have all been wormed. I have been feeding them 2 bales of hay in the morning and 2 at night. They are also with goats that look perfectly healthy, but some of the sheep look thin??? But not all of them. I find 1-2 dead a day or so…
They also fixed an electrical problem in the airplane as an afterthought, but sacificing goats or buffaloes is considered more important!
Reminds one of Christians sacrificing Jesus, doesn’t it?
does anyone here own emus? are they good animals just for pets. my family has a large farm with llamas,horses,goats,sheep,rabbits,ect.. but will emus be ok with llamas?what are there down sides?
What is your first thought when you hear "all goats aboard"?
I would like to know for a descussion that me and my grandma had a minute or so ago. Please just tell me the first thing that comes to your mind, any type of goat or any thing that deals with goats. Thank you,
Michael
