They are only about an inch long and they are the only fish, besides a pleco, in a 55 gallon tank. The ice blue zebra cichlid chases the jewel cichlid everytime he sees him and his fins look kinda bad.
I have a 55 gallon tank with an algae eater, 4 platys, 3 zebra danios, and 3 tiger barbs. Everyone seems to be living quite harmoniously, except one of my tiger barbs. It is absolutely infatuated with the bubble curtain! Spends all day and night hanging out in the bubbles, coming out only to eat or get chased and then it’s right back to the bubbles! Kind of like that looney fish from Finding Nemo. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knows why this funny behavior? Is there something wrong?
I currently have 10 tiger barbs in a 36 gallon tank. I would like to add more fishes. What would be good fishes that would go along well with the tiger barbs? Thnx.
I currently have a 29 gallon tank with a firemouth cichlid. Will i have enough room for a tiger barb and an upside catfish? Any advice will be appreciated.
It’s a 20 gallon tank and the people at petsmart told me i needed 2 or 3 females per male so if i got rid of my 6 zebra danios and left the 5 guppies would i be alright?
I was told they were schooling fish, and the consultant at PetSmart suggested getting 3, and so I did. One was nipped to death by the another, however, and two remain. I have placed the aggressive danio in its own two gallon tank, and the last danio is staying in its three gallon tank. They appear to be doing fine, but I’d hate for them to die because there aren’t enough of them. Are there any solutions, other than to get more danios?
I’m getting a 20 gallon tank soon, and I don’t really know what to put in it. I’ve always had a liking for tiger barbs. Would a school of 4 or 5 be happy in this tank?
I’ve also heard I could keep a dwarf gourami with some tetras and corys. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
I have six long finned zebra danios and seven ghost shrimp in my twenty gallon tank.
I have heard they are notorious fin nippers. Would a school of five tiger barbs nip the zebras fins? Will the barbs bully, harass, or attack them?
Because I love how the tiger barbs look, I’m just worried if any fighting or anything of the like will happen.
i cant find him yes i lifted up everything and he is not there and yes i have a lid on the 20 gallon tank. i dont have any other fish in the tank except a group of female glofish and female zebra danios thats it. did they eat him.
10 pionts to best answer and please help its an imergency.
I have a 29 gallon tank. 5 tiger barbs (2 of them are albino) which I hope would be enough to keep them busy. The Rams are generally peaceable fish I believe.
If Rams don’t work, what about other cichlids? I’ve seen some articles discussing tiger barbs as dither fish for more aggressive cichlids. Is this possible? Thanks in advance!
