How much does the average horse cost and where to buy?
I was just wondering how much the average horse costs. I’d most likely like to know how much an arabian costs.

well um… each horse is diffrent so each cost will be diffrent. but a good cost for a arabian is about 7,000 or 8,000 but in ths type of economey im sure u could get one between 4,000 – 7,000 and grow with your horse. and a good website to look for horses is dreamhorse and make sure the horse is not to old.

it depends on the blood lines. i have got and seen many free horses. my friend got an arabian horse for about $2000 and its blood lines were not that good. in Australia (not sure where you live) a really good website is http://www.horsedeals.com.au you can search what type of horse you want and how much you want it to cost etc. with free horses you have to careful. some people really want to just give them away because they have injuries or behavior problems but some just cant handle a horse anymore.
good luck!

I’ve seen horses sell from $50 to $750,000. There’s a lot of room for average in there.

You can get a cheap horse at the auction, but it may or may not have much training. The best place to buy a horse is through a responsible, education, experienced riding instructor to help you find one. Set your budget and stick to it! He/She will be able to help you find a horse via the internet, word of mouth, and ads posted at horse related shops and events (tack shops, feed stores, horse shows, etc.)
