I am building a coop for some chickens that are free range.they are flighty and are afraid of people. I intend to keep the chickens in the coop for a period of time so that they will know to go sleep there when it gets dark The question is how long will it take for them to realize that they are supposed to go there to sleep and lay eggs? the coop will have a run, so I can feed them in the run. is this a geed way to acclimate them?
I was just wondering since bettas are wimpy and all if a male betta were to feel threatened by a tiger barb and fight with it which would be the victor note this question is hypothetical not going to happen.
We are getting two chickens (hens, not roosters) and I don’t know what to call them, any suggestions?
Thanks!
please help… were going to the zoo wednesday and we want to know!
My folks have a 200 gallon freshwater tank they need to populate sufficiently. The last thing they need is to spend a ton of cash on fish just to have one hungry one eat all the others.
Can anyone provide a link to a site that shows how to populate a large tank (around 200 gallons) with a variety of fish that look nice and can live in harmony with each other?
Thanks!
I was at work last night and this girl told me that it became illegal in the 70s to have sex with sheep. I don’t think one should have sex any animal but i know that there are people that do. I just wanted to check /cross reference this. Is there really a law against it? Are the sheep’s reproductive system like a human’s? Did they ever cross breed? The tale was that in the 70s they past a law againt sex with sheep because they would cross breed and have to kill the sheep. I don’t believe that it was true but while i’m doubting it it may be true. i need some FACTS not opinions on this subject so i can go back to work and let them know the factual information. just as i found out that catfish DON’T have periods.
My fish mates are 1 bala shark, 1 black mystery snail, 1 crab, and 2 tiger barbs. Does this seem ok? They say not to have just one barb, so I got two. Also, I don’t need flaming for fish peeps who claim I am doing something wrong. It is a semi-agressive tropical tank and all fish fit this title.
soup dude, you are way off. My bala shark is in fact chasing the barbs and the barbs don’t school with each other either and they don’t hide in the corner, they go and swim around. The shark is not biting them at all. Thanks for every else.
With people buying tigers and putting them in their back yard, gas stations, mom pop zoos, small circus, and Scarface wannabes is it possible that we have more tigers than any other country…
We are dissecting a cow uterus at school, and part of the lab is to compare the lengths of fallopian tubes in cows and humans. I have done some research but can’t seem to find anything. So would anybody know the length of the fallopian tubes in cows?
I’ve heard someone say this, is that correct?
Whales have a gene for making legs and chickens have genes for making teeth?
