google earth?

December 19th, 2009

I can download google earth but can’t connect to the server because it might be blocked/censored. Is there anyway I can enjoy google earth despite the fact that it is blocked?

You probably have it under the Firewall settings. Go to your Control Panel via your Start menu (assuming you use Windows) & click on the Security section.

If you have Vista, there’s an option directly on there that says "Allow a program to pass thru Windows Firewall". Also, if you have any other type of antivirus software installed that may be automatically blocking Google Earth, you’ll have to tweak the options on that as well. Good luck..

Do you mean that you might be fire-walled? You can change that in the control panel of your computer. Or look for your firewall options online. The whole point of downloading google Earth is to use all of it’s features. If it’s blocking or censoring certain options on your menu then it’s not worth using. I have used it before and was never fully satisfied with it.
